The Aquabats
The Aquabats are one of my favorite bands. They were the first concert I ever attended when I was about 17. So imagine how excited I was when my husband started working for them as a stage manager and sound guy! Now I can say I’ve seen them live more times than I can count! […]

Tyrion the Corgi
This was a birthday gift for the owners of corgi at my local dog park named Tyrion, named after the cleverest Lannister from Game of Thrones. He’s one of the sweetest dogs I know! Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop

Aaron and Ashley
I made this as an engagement gift for two of my dearest friends. I love drawing people I know! I also like drawing people I don’t know, so feel free to request a commission. Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop

Inktober Girl
I had fully intended to take part in the Inktober Challenge, but this was one of the only pieces I got done. There’s always next time! Tools: Clip Studio Paint

Lilo the Corgi
This was a birthday gift for a corgi I know named Lilo. Well, a gift for her owners, anyway! I love drawing animals but corgis are my favorite subjects. Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop

Jem Cover for IDW
I was hired to create a variant cover for Jem and the Holograms issue #10, published by IDW. This was a huge honor as I’m a child of the 80s and grew up with Jen. Truly, truly, truly outrageous!

Sailor Moon
Recently an Sailor Moon re-draw challenge was going around social media. I’m a huge fan of Sailor Moon so I jumped at the chance to draw her in my own style! Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop

Tiki Portrait
This was a commission by some friends of mine who wanted to surprise some of their friends with a group portrait done in a sort of mod/Tiki style. This was a fun challenge for me since it’s not my usual drawing style. Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop

Panton Portrait
I was commissioned by my friend Danielle of Cat Party Pet Portraits to create an image of her cat, Panton, inspired by Bob of the Church of the SubGenius. This was so much fun to do! Tools: Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop

Archie #1 Variant Cover
I was hired to do a variant cover for the re-launch of the Archie comic series. It’s always a treat to get to draw such a classic character in a modern way. Tools: Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop

TCMC Street Art
These were a series of street art posters for a web personality called Cheeks to promote his album. It was really fun blending illustration with design and pushing my style in a new direction. Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, Illustrator

Blood Level
This is a page from a comic pitch for “Blood Level”, a short independent film by writer/director Liz Adams. I don’t usually use heavy shadows in my work, so it was fun to challenge myself in this area. TOOLS: Clip Studio Paint

Carly and Jonathan
For this portrait of my two friends, I decided to try out a Nintendo theme. I’d love to do more portraits with fun themes like this! Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop

Knit-Wits
This is a mock cover I made for a webcomic idea I had that never came to fruition. However, I still think the idea has merit and will probably revive it at some point! Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, Illustrator

Sabrina the Teenage Witch
For five years I was a writer and artist on Sabrina the Teenage Witch for Archie comics, giving it a shoujo-manga inspired makeover. I completed a total of 42 issues which have just been released digitally in full-color via Comixology. It’s one of my proudest achievements, so I hope you’ll check out the series!

Frontmen Promo
This was a fun promo piece I got to work on for a comedic web series by director/producer Liz Adams. Tools: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, Illustrator

Christin Portrait
I made this for one of my favorite kickboxing instructors, Christin. TOOlS: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop

Lovesketch
This is a page from a comic concept I had called “Lovesketch”, which is loosely based on my own middle grade experiences. This particular comic didn’t end up getting picked up, but a shorter version did get published in an anthology called “Rising Stars of Manga Vol 2”, published by TOKYOPOP. TOOLS: Clip Studio Paint

Batgirl
When Batgirl was given a redesign a few years back I was inspired to make this piece. She’s always been one of my favorite DC characters! Tools: Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop

Dischord Comic
A friend commissioned me to create a custom mini comic for her partner about a zany adventure in LA. It was really fun to work in black and white with background textures and screentone patterns. TOOLS: Clip Studio Paint

Lady Gaga
I was inspired to make a piece inspired by one of my favorite artists, Lady Gaga. The background for this just about broke my computer! TOOLS: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, Illustrator

Daily Doses
I was commissioned to create a promo piece for internet personality Cheeks for a “daily dose” of inspirational tweets. I enjoyed trying out a more photo-realistic style for this. TOOLS: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, Illustrator

Sugar Skulls Logo
This was a logo I designed for a team I formed for Tour de Cure, a yearly bike ride to raise money for diabetes research. It’s an issue that’s important to me, as my younger brother has Type 1 juvenile diabetes. I’m proud to say I’ve raised thousands of dollars for the cause over years […]

Beau Pet Portrait
Nowadays I almost exclusively work digitally, but occasionally I like to go back to my traditional supplies. I really enjoyed working on this pet portrait using ink and markers. TOOLS: Pencil, Copic Markers

World of Warcraft
I’m a longtime fan of World of Warcraft, so I was excited to do a commission for a fellow player who wanted a piece featuring their Blood Elf Hunter. TOOLS: Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop
